Uttar Pradesh, a magnificent state located in northern India, is blessed with a rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes. With its long history dating back 4000 years, Uttar Pradesh is renowned for its spectacular architectural monuments, breathtaking landscapes, and diverse people. Uttar Pradesh is also home to one of India’s first classical dances, Kathak. The state is known for its royal influence in various fields such as dance, music, and arts, making it a hub for art and culture.
The state has two major rivers flowing through it, making the cities along the banks highly religious, particularly Banaras, Allahabad, Vrindavan, and Mathura. Uttar Pradesh is also rich in architectural treasures, including the iconic Taj Mahal. Travelers in the state can cover the Heritage sites, which include Agra, Lucknow, and Varanasi. Lucknow, with its old-world charm, is considered a gem that reflects Awadhi culture in every corner. Another historical city, Jhansi, boasts several historical monuments such as the Jhansi Fort and Rani Mahal. Uttar Pradesh boasts of its delicious street food like samosas and kachori, and royal meaty feasts and kebabs. The best time to visit Uttar Pradesh is in October, just after the monsoon, when the weather is fresh and pleasantly warm.
