A road trip is a dream for many and remains on the bucket list of even those who aren’t hardcore adventure enthusiasts.

Be it because of those movies that we grew up watching that fueled our dreams of wandering through highways and byways or an idea born out of a sudden desire to break the monotony of life, many people agree that road trips are the perfect route to finding a quick and temporary escape.

So, if you are someone who is looking for a break, then we have the perfect Uttarakhand bike trip starting from Delhi planned just for you.

Having the holy city of Rishikesh as our first destination, we embark on this 10-day road trip adventure ready to explore all the rocky terrains and screes of the Land of the Gods while letting ourselves be entranced by the serene beauty of mountains, valleys, and meadows.

It’s important to make pit stops to refuel our vehicles as well as our stomachs which is why we will briefly stop at swiss camps for lunch and rest before resuming our journey and heading to Chopta which is a 7-hour drive from Rishikesh.

.After an overnight stay, to liven things up and make sure that you get to make the most out of this trip, we will do a small trek to Tungnath temple and cover Chandrashila as well before proceeding to our next stop which would be Joshimath where we will spend a day completely at leisure.

Our next stop will be the capital of winter sports in India, Auli, which is 16kms ahead of Joshimath and is one of the most beautiful places in Uttarakhand with its oak tree forests and snowy slopes.

This quaint hill station deserves to be explored which is why we will take you on a sightseeing tour to some of the must-visit places in Auli before our overnight stay following which, we will resume our long drive to Kausani which is a small village that is perfect for relaxing.

You can explore various tea estates and farms while watching the sunset beyond the horizon. There are many hiking points and trails that will lead you to some of the most offbeat places here, providing you the kind of peace which you will cherish for the rest of your days.

After resting, we will resume our 9-hour-long drive to reach Munsiyari. A small village that is covered by snow throughout the year. The stunning peaks of this small hill station provide a panoramic view of the great Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi, and Panchachuli. We will stay here overnight before proceeding further.

Our next stop remains an unexplored gem in the treasure chest that is Uttarakhand, also popular for being a trekkers paradise, Binsar preserves a diversified group of flora and fauna and is surrounded by the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to many rare animals, birds and flower species, which is why it’s perfect for nature walks, hikers and other people who enjoy outdoor activities.

Apart from its natural beauty, the main attraction of Binsar is Zero point which provides a 360-degree view of the great Himalayas and some of its major peaks which is why it’s one of the must visit places in Binsar, Uttarakhand.

Our last stop before heading home is India’s oldest National park and home to rare species of Royal Bengal Tiger, Asiatic elephant, barking deer, etc Jim Corbett National park.

Spreading to 520 square Kms, it’s one of the few reserve parks that allow people to spend a night on the premises of the park itself which is why it’s popular among nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

We will spend our night surrounded by nature in all its glory before concluding our trip and heading back home.
